Day 1

Welcome, Registration, Housekeeping & Introduction – enabling participants to feel welcome and relaxed

Individual experience of stress. - A broad understanding of how stress affects people and its psychological and physiological symptoms.

Reflective work - Identifying the ‘stressors’ in our life – the events or conditions that produce stress.

PowerPoint – Stress and health. Gain a sound understanding of physiological & psychological aspects of stress [the medical model] including the endocrine immune and nervous systems. How stress impacts on health and well-being. (dis-ease, illnesses)

MBTI Questionnaire followed by ‘feedback session’. People will understand the concept and know their type

S6

MBTI discussion - Understanding basic type characteristics & differences

S7

Summary and closing thoughts - Summing up and introduction to ‘personal purse of gold coins’ to shift thoughts to the positive

The object of the first day is to;

Understanding stress is our ‘raw material’ and the MBTI our main tool. This dynamic will be developed over the next day.

MBTI & Stress - To explore the relationship between personality type and stress. How different types respond/deal with stress. Understanding our ‘inferior function’.

Reactive Stress Management - To get to know and externalise our demons

Reactive Stress Management Techniques - Understand the flow of ‘psychic Energy’ and learn techniques to interrupt and divert that flow. How to cope when in the middle of a stressful episode.

Proactive Stress Management – discuss and practice a range of techniques to establish and maintain balance between our Internal and External worlds. How to ‘stress proof our lives’.

Bringing it all together in our ‘Healthy Lifestyle Plan’.
